Doctor Complaints

The Riverside County Medical Association's Mediation and Medical Care Committee reviews complaints from the public regarding member physicians.

To File A Grievance: You must first determine the physicians member status. This can be accomplished by contacting the RCMA office at (951) 686-3342 or using the Doctor Finder feature on this website.

  • If the physician is not a Riverside County Medical Association member, then you must contact the Medical Board of Californiato make a complaint
  • If the physician is a Riverside County Medical Association member, you must complete and submit the following Patient Experience Record Form. The physician is then contacted and asked to respond to the grievance and submit any medical records which may be necessary in assisting the Committee in making a determination on the matter. The patient and physician are notified, in writing, of the Committee's decision. Please note, review normally takes from 8-10 weeks. In all cases, the opinion of the Committee is advisory only. Please be sure to read the top portion of the Patient Experience Record form which explains the role of the Committee. Additionally, the authorization at the bottom of the form must be signed by the patient. Any questions concerning this process can be handled by contacting Tamme at the RCMA office at (951) 686-3342.
