Riverside County Physicians Memorial Foundation Scholarship Fund: The Riverside County Medical Association’s Medical Student Scholarship Program, organized under the Riverside County Physicians Memorial Foundation, was established to assist students from Riverside County in attending medical school. The goal of this scholarship program is to encourage medical students to practice in Riverside County, which has an insufficient number of physicians to care for its citizens. The Riverside County Physicians Memorial Foundation is now accepting medical student scholarship applications. All scholarship applications must be received by May 15, 2019. Digital applications are preferred.

Ronald P. Bangasser, M.D. Medical Student Scholarship: This scholarship honors a San Bernardino County physician who contributed to health care, medicine, his patients and his community. Medical students from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and University of California Riverside who have completed one year of medical school are eligible to apply for the $2,000 scholarship. Steven M. Thompson Physician Corps Loan Repayment Program (STLRP): An awardee may receive up to $105,000 to repay educational debt. Each awardee commits to a three-year service obligation practicing in direct patient care in a medically underserved area (MUA) in California.
National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program: The program offers primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers the opportunity to have their student loans repaid for serving communities in need.
UC PRIME: UC’s PRIME program helps economically disadvantaged students from medically under-served areas around California to get accepted and enrolled in one of the five UC Medical Schools.
FREIDA Online: FREIDA Online lists information for all the 8,700 graduate medical education programs accredited by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education, as well as 200 Board-approved combined specialty programs, such as internal medicine/psychiatry. Users can search for training programs by selecting specialties, states, or even training institutions.
